3D Animation and Simulations
Learning animation is a part of Blender that I am attempting to strengthen and work on. I first began with 3D simulations, but I have since added animation to those simulations.
Bouncing Cube
After following the previous tutorial, I needed a small project to better commit the processes that I learned to memory. I decided to do a very quick animation of a cube bouncing in order to accomplish this. Through this, I practiced creating armatures, using keyframe animation and also just setting up an animation project.
Rocket Animation
In order to continue making progress on animation, I recognized that I would need to start using tutorials. I felt that I was becoming trapped in an echo-chamber by teaching myself because I was constantly using the same methods to create something. I followed a tutorial to create this rocket animation. This taught me how to use armatures and it also changed my previous approaches to modeling and keyframe animation.
REMastered Sleep Product Animation
Apr 2022
For my final product design presentation, I wanted to have the product be shown in fun ways behind me while I gave the presentation. I compiled a series of shots showcasing all of the animations that I had learned previously. This animation included rigid body simulations, camera rail movement, and keyframe animation.
Rolling Balls Animation
Feb 2022
This was my first animation that included both simulations and camera keyframe animation.
Jan 2022
As a start to learning the animation side of Blender, I thought that it would be good to first do some simulations. This is my first big rigid body simulation. It is also my first keyframe animation as I move the cylinder with it.
